Detailed Tour Program
Transfer to the Hotel and Safari Briefing
Arrive at Zanzibar Airport then transfer to Zanzibar Serena Inn in Stone Town. Safari briefing, dinner and overnight at Zanzibar Serena Inn.
Stone Town Tour and Spice Tour
After breakfast, take the historical half-day (4-hour) Stone Town Tour. A guided town tour takes you through narrow streets of the old Stone Town, where history seems to stand still. Visit the House of Wonders, Fredy Mercury House, the Arab Fort, Zanzibar’s bustling market, former slave market, Tip Tipp House, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors and balconies, two cathedrals and mosques.
After lunch you are transferred to Kizimbani Village for a spice tour. You will have the opportunity to see spices like cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, turmeric root, actually growing in the plantations. Other tropical fruits such as jackfruit, custard apple, rambutan, carambola can also be seen and tasted. Furthermore you will see plants like the henna bush, lipstick tree and lemongrass.
Late lunch at Zanzibar Serena Inn. Dinner and overnight at Zanzibar Serena Inn.
Leisure Activities at Blue Bay Resort
After breakfast, transfer (45 min.) by shuttle bus to Blue Bay Beach Resort in East Coast for two days of leisure/activities. Lunch at Blue Bay Resort.
Afternoon of leisure and activities like snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, dhow trips, etc. can be done. (Cost for activities on this day are not included on the total cost of the tour; clients will pay for each activity they are interested in on the spot.)
Dinner and overnight at Blue Bay Resort.
Full Day Leisure Activities at Blue Bay Resort
Full day at Blue Bay at leisure. The main activities include snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing, scuba diving, dhow trips, etc. (Cost for activities on this day are not included on the total cost of the tour; clients will pay for each activity they are interested in on the spot.)
Dinner and overnight at Blue Bay Resort.
Transfer to Airport
After breakfast or lunch transfer (about 50 minutes) to airport for flight to Arusha, Dar es Salaam or international destination.
