Arrive in Zanzibar, meet and greet at Zanzibar Airport/Sea port and transfer to Stone Town Hotel (HB). Briefing by our professional guide, Zanzibar Stone Town Hotel at Leisure, overnight at the Hotel.
After Breakfast pick up around 09:00 for Prison Island tour,we drive to Zanzibar Stone Town to take our boat to Prison island. Earning its name as a former prison for slaves and a quarantine station for Zanzibar and the mainland, nowadays the island gives you the chance to escape for some peace and quiet. Once on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises, if you have time you may also like to take a stroll through the forested interior where you will see a wide variety of birds, colorful peacocks, bats, and beautiful butterflies. Keep your eyes peeled too for the shy and elusive Duikers – an unusual tiny antelope species. It is fringed with a beautiful coral reef, ideal for snorkeling, and has a lovely white beach for sunbathing. This tour is a great way to see some history and wildlife, and also to see Stone Town from the sea as many old maritime legends would have done. As this is the half day trip after 2 or 3 hrs we will take our boat for a ride back,dinner and overnight back at Zanzibar Stone Town Hotel(HB)
After breakfast we drive to Kizimkazi fishing village for a dolphin tour, after arriving we take a motorized boat and start searching for dolphins. If we lucky we can use about 5 to 10 minutes cruising on search of dolphins. After swimming with them we go to shallow water for snorkelling before getting back to the beach for taking shower, have lunch and a bit of beach leisure. After leisure we drive to Jozani forest to see the red colubus monkeys and visit the floating mangrove bridge. Jozani has an excellent nature trail and the guides are well trained and informative. A walk through this impressive flora and fauna is one of the highlights Zanzibar has to offer. After the tour we drive back to Zanzibar Stone Town Hotel(HB) hotel for dinner and stay overnight.
After breakfast pick up around 08:00 for City Tour to the historic sites of Stone Town and shopping in the Antique and gift shops. A guided town tour takes you through narrow streets of the old Stone Town, where history seems to stand still. Visit the House of Wonders, Fredy Mercury House, the Arab Fort, Zanzibar’s bustling market, former slave market, Tip Tipp House, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors and balconies, two cathedrals and many mosques. Lunch at Mtoni Marine Restaurant and after lunch proceed to Spice farms looking for spices and tropical fruits. thereafter transfer to the Beach Resort/Hotel on half board “HB”. Dinner and overnight.
Another day city tour to Zanzibar’s colorful market, alive with the buzz of locals bartering fresh vegetables and baskets of tropical fruit, amongst the heady aroma of herbs and spices, we continue onto the site of a cathedral built in 1874 then to the Zanzibar Museum, Tippu Tip’s House, the former British Club, the Old Fort and the recently renovated Indian Dispensary. Your tour ends with a stroll through the narrow streets of Stone Town. Lunch at Mtoni Marine Restaurant and after lunch we drive to the spice plantations for the spice tour. Guaranteed to awaken your senses, we will visit the spice plantations where you will have the opportunity to pick, smell, and savour fruits and spices which you have probably never seen on the supermarket shelf, Cloves, star fruit, tangerine trees, lemon grass, mangos teen, ‘lipstick trees’, to name but a few what you can expect to see! This is the cheapest place to buy locally made perfumes and oils. thereafter transfer to Zanzibar Stone Town Hotel(HB) Dinner and overnight
After breakfast you will be transfer to the Seaport/Airport to catch your flight back home or to continue with your own arrangement
