Overview

Widely considered as the Pearl of Africa, Uganda is a land of contrast. Being home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas, Uganda’s temperamental landscape range from swampy lowlands, fertile plateaus to arid plains that merge with the horizon. The trek through the local villages and canopies of rainforests will fill your heart with delight with the sight of a family of gorillas dwelling among the bamboo.

Uganda is also famous for stunning national parks covering an immensely varied range of biospheres and landscapes.

Uganda offers up something for everybody, Ranging from the mist-shrouded mountains of Bwindi to the dense forests of Kibale to the open plains of Queen Elizabeth.

Traditional game drives can be done in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks, while primate trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable and Kibale are a hugely popular way to see some of Africa’s most enduring icons up close.

The country possesses the world’s best pineapples, avocados, mangoes and bananas. Non-veg dishes in Uganda are usually stews which will include the entire animal including the intestines, liver, tongue etc. Nothing is wasted.
